彼がわたしにむかって叫ぶならば、わたしはこれに聞くであろう。わたしはあわれみ深いからである。 [出22:27]

わたしたちは、神がわたしたちに対して持っておられる愛を知り、かつ信じている。神は愛である。愛のうちにいる者は、神におり、神も彼にいます。わたしたちもこの世にあって彼のように生きているので、さばきの日に確信を持って立つことができる。そのことによって、愛がわたしたちに全うされているのである。愛には恐れがない。完全な愛は恐れをとり除く。恐れには懲らしめが伴い、かつ恐れる者には、愛が全うされていないからである。わたしたちが愛し合うのは、神がまずわたしたちを愛して下さったからである。 [1ヨハ4:16-19]

心はすすがれて良心のとがめを去り、からだは清い水で洗われ、まごころをもって信仰の確信に満たされつつ、みまえに近づこうではないか。 ■ 彼（キリスト）によって、一つの御霊の中にあって、父のみもとに近づくことができるからである。 ■ この主キリストにあって、わたしたちは、彼に対する信仰によって、確信をもって大胆に神に近づくことができるのである。 ■ わたしたちは、あわれみを受け、また、恵みにあずかって時機を得た助けを受けるために、はばかることなく恵みの御座に近づこうではないか。 [ヘブ10:22 | エペ2:18 | エペ3:12 | ヘブ4:16]

August 30, Morning

The king held out ... the golden sceptre. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. [Esth.5:2]

It shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious. [Exo.22:27]

We have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. [I John.4:16-19]

Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. ■ For through him we ... have access by one Spirit unto the Father. ■ We have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. ■ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
