イスラエルの人々はそれを見て互に言った、「これはなんであろう」。彼らはそれがなんであるのか知らなかったからである。 [出16:15]

確かに偉大なのは、この信心の奥義である、「キリストは肉において現れた」。 ■ 神のパンは、天から下ってきて、この世に命を与えるものである。 [1テモ3:16 | ヨハ6:33]

あなたがたの先祖は荒野でマナを食べたが、死んでしまった。生きたパンを食べる者は、いつまでも生きるであろう。わたしが与えるパンは、世の命のために与えるわたしの肉である」。わたしの肉はまことの食物、わたしの血はまことの飲み物である。 [ヨハ6:49,51,55]

イスラエルの人々は･･･ある者は多く、ある者は少なく集めた。･･･多く集めた者にも余らず、少なく集めた者にも不足しなかった。彼らは、おのおのその食べるところに従って、朝ごとにそれを集めた。 [出16:17,18,21]

だから、何を食べようか、何を飲もうか、･･･と言って思いわずらうな。あなたがたの天の父は、これらのものが、ことごとくあなたがたに必要であることをご存じである。まず神の国と神の義とを求めなさい。そうすれば、これらのものは、すべて添えて与えられるであろう。 [マタ6:31-33]

August 30, Evening

They said, ... it is manna: for they wist not what it was. [Exo.16:15]

Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh. ■ The bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. [I Tim.3:16 | John.6:33]

Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. My flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. [John.6:49,51,55]

The children of Israel ... gathered, some more, some less. He that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack. They gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating. [Exo.16:17,18,21]

Take no thought, saying, What shall we eat: or, What shall we drink? Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matt.6:31-33]
