キリストは、その肉の生活の時には、激しい叫びと涙とをもって、ご自分を死から救う力のあるかたに、祈と願いとをささげ、そして、その深い信仰のゆえに聞きいれられたのである。彼は御子であられたにもかかわらず、さまざまの苦しみによって従順を学び、そして、全き者とされたので、彼に従順であるすべての人に対して、永遠の救の源となり、 ■ この大祭司は、わたしたちの弱さを思いやることのできないようなかたではない。罪は犯されなかったが、すべてのことについて、わたしたちと同じように試錬に会われたのである。 [ヘブ5:7-9 | ヘブ4:15]

あなたがたの会った試錬で、世の常でないものはない。神は真実である。あなたがたを耐えられないような試錬に会わせることはないばかりか、試錬と同時に、それに耐えられるように、のがれる道も備えて下さるのである。 ■ 主が言われた、「わたしの恵みはあなたに対して十分である。わたしの力は弱いところに完全にあらわれる」。 [1コリ10:13 | 2コリ12:9]

Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. [Matt.4:1]

In the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. ■ We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities: but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. ■ My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
