主は恵みふかく、あわれみに満ち、怒ることおそく、いつくしみ豊かです。 ■ 天にいますあなたがたの父は、悪い者の上にも良い者の上にも、太陽をのぼらせ、正しい者にも正しくない者にも、雨を降らして下さるからである。 [詩145:8 | マタ5:45]

あなたがたは、神に愛されている子供として、神にならう者になりなさい。また愛のうちを歩きなさい。キリストもあなたがたを愛して下さって、わたしたちのために、ご自身を、神へのかんばしいかおりのささげ物、また、いけにえとしてささげられたのである。 ■ 互に情深く、あわれみ深い者となり、神がキリストにあってあなたがたをゆるして下さったように、あなたがたも互にゆるし合いなさい。 ■ あなたがたは、真理に従うことによって、たましいをきよめ、偽りのない兄弟愛をいだくに至ったのであるから、互に心から熱く愛し合いなさい。 ■ キリストの愛がわたしたちに強く迫っている。 [エペ5:1,2 | エペ4:32 | 1ペテ1:22 | 2コリ5:14]

しかし、あなたがたは、敵を愛し、人によくしてやり、また何も当てにしないで貸してやれ。そうすれば受ける報いは大きく、あなたがたはいと高き者の子となるであろう。いと高き者は、恩を知らぬ者にも悪人にも、なさけ深いからである。あなたがたの父なる神が慈悲深いように、あなたがたも慈悲深い者となれ。 [ルカ6:35,36]

Thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes. [Psa.26:3]

The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. ■ Your Father which is in heaven: ... maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. [Psa.145:8 | Matt.5:45]

Be ye ... followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. ■ Be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. ■ Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently. ■ The love of Christ constraineth us.
