神は自分のかたちに人を創造された。 [創1:27]

このように、われわれは神の子孫なのであるから、神たる者を、人間の技巧や空想で金や銀や石などに彫り付けたものと同じと、見なすべきではない。 [使17:29]

あわれみに富む神は、わたしたちを愛して下さったその大きな愛をもって、罪過によって死んでいたわたしたちを、キリストと共に生かした。わたしたちは神の作品であって、良い行いをするように、キリスト・イエスにあって造られたのである。 ■ 神はあらかじめ知っておられる者たちを、更に御子のかたちに似たものとしようとして、あらかじめ定めて下さった。それは、御子を多くの兄弟の中で長子とならせるためであった。 [エペ2:4,5,10 | ロマ8:29]

彼（キリスト）が現れる時、わたしたちは、自分たちが彼に似るものとなることを知っている。そのまことの御姿を見るからである。 ■ 目ざめる時、みかたちを見て、満ち足りるでしょう。 [1ヨハ3:2 | 詩17:15]

God created man in his own image. [Gen.1:27]

Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. [Acts.17:29]

God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. ■ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
