この世の生活でキリストにあって単なる望みをいだいているだけだとすれば、わたしたちは、すべての人の中で最もあわれむべき存在となる。 [1コリ15:19]

愛する者たちよ。あなたがたを試みるために降りかかって来る火のような試錬を、何か思いがけないことが起ったかのように驚きあやしむことなく、むしろ、キリストの苦しみにあずかればあずかるほど、喜ぶがよい。それは、キリストの栄光が現れる際に、よろこびにあふれるためである。 ■ 悲しんでいるようであるが、常に喜んでいる。 [1ペテ4:12,13 | 2コリ6:10]

どうか、望みの神が、信仰から来るあらゆる喜びと平安とを、あなたがたに満たし、あなたがたを、望みにあふれさせて下さるように。 [ロマ15:13]

いちじくの木は花咲かず、ぶどうの木は実らず、オリブの木の産はむなしくなり、田畑は食物を生ぜず、おりには羊が絶え、牛舎には牛がいなくなる。しかし、わたしは主によって楽しみ、わが救の神によって喜ぶ。 [ハバ3:17,18]

We glory in tribulations. [Rom.5:3]

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. [I Cor.15:19]

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. ■ Sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, rejoice. ■ They departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. [Phi.4:4 | Acts.5:41]

The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. [Rom.15:13]

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. [Hab.3:17,18]
