わたしたちは昼の者なのだから、信仰と愛との胸当を身につけ、救の望みのかぶとをかぶって、慎んでいよう。 [1テサ5:8]

心の腰に帯を締め、身を慎み、イエス・キリストの現れる時に与えられる恵みを、いささかも疑わずに待ち望んでいなさい。 ■ すなわち、立って真理の帯を腰にしめ、正義の胸当を胸につけ、その上に、信仰のたてを手に取りなさい。それをもって、悪しき者の放つ火の矢を消すことができるであろう。また、救のかぶとをかぶり、御霊の剣、すなわち、神の言を取りなさい。 [1ペテ1:13 | エペ6:14,16,17]

主はとこしえに死を滅ぼし、主なる神はすべての顔から涙をぬぐい、その民のはずかしめを全地の上から除かれる。これは主の語られたことである。その日、人は言う、「見よ、これはわれわれの神である。わたしたちは彼を待ち望んだ。彼はわたしたちを救われる。これは主である。わたしたちは彼を待ち望んだ。わたしたちはその救を喜び楽しもう」と。 [イザ25:8,9]

さて、信仰とは、望んでいる事がらを確信し、まだ見ていない事実を確認することである。 [ヘブ11:1]

November 8, Morning

Let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. [I Thes.5:8]

Gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ■ Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [I Pet.1:13 | Eph.6:14,16,17]

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; ... we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. [Isa.25:8,9]

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [Heb.11:1]
