いつも善を追い求めなさい。 [1テサ5:15]

あなたがたは、実に、そうするようにと召されたのである。キリストも、あなたがたのために苦しみを受け、御足の跡を踏み従うようにと、模範を残されたのである。キリストは罪を犯さず、その口には偽りがなかった。ののしられても、ののしりかえさず、･･･正しいさばきをするかたに、いっさいをゆだねておられた。 ■ あなたがたは、弱り果てて意気そそうしないために、罪人らのこのような反抗を耐え忍んだかたのことを、思いみるべきである。 [1ペテ2:21-23 | ヘブ12:3]

いっさいの重荷と、からみつく罪とをかなぐり捨てて、わたしたちの参加すべき競走を、耐え忍んで走りぬこうではないか。信仰の導き手であり、またその完成者であるイエスを仰ぎ見つつ、走ろうではないか。彼は、自分の前におかれている喜びのゆえに、･･･十字架を忍び、神の御座の右に座するに至ったのである。 [ヘブ12:1,2]

兄弟たちよ。すべて真実なこと、すべて尊ぶべきこと、すべて正しいこと、すべて純真なこと、すべて愛すべきこと、すべてほまれあること、また徳といわれるもの、称賛に値するものがあれば、それらのものを心にとめなさい。 [ピリ4:8]

Ever follow that which is good. [I Thes.5:15]

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; ... but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously. ■ Consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. [Heb.12:1,2]

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [Phi.4:8]
