ダビデはその神、主によって自分を力づけた。 [1サム30:6]

主よ、わたしたちは、だれのところに行きましょう。永遠の命の言をもっているのはあなたです。 ■ わたしは自分の信じてきたかたを知っており、またそのかたは、わたしにゆだねられているものを、かの日に至るまで守って下さることができると、確信しているからである。 [ヨハ6:68 | 2テモ1:12]

わたしは悩みのうちに主に呼ばわり、わが神に叫び求めました。主はその宮からわたしの声を聞かれ、主にさけぶわたしの叫びがその耳に達しました。彼らはわたしの災の日にわたしを襲いました。しかし主はわたしのささえとなられました。主はわたしを広い所につれ出し、わたしを喜ばれるがゆえに、わたしを助けられました。 [詩18:6,18,19]

わたしは常に主をほめまつる。そのさんびはわたしの口に絶えない。わが魂は主によって誇る。苦しむ者はこれを聞いて喜ぶであろう。わたしと共に主をあがめよ、われらは共にみ名をほめたたえよう。わたしが主に求めたとき、主はわたしに答え、すべての恐れからわたしを助け出された。主の恵みふかきことを味わい知れ、主に寄り頼む人はさいわいである。 [詩34:1-4,8]

David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. [I Sam.30:6]

Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. ■ I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. [John.6:68 | II Tim.1:12]

In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. [Psa.18:6,18,19]

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. [Psa.34:1-4,8]
