もうしばらくすれば、きたるべきかたがお見えになる。遅くなることはない。 [ヘブ10:37]

この幻を書き、これを板の上に明らかにしるし、走りながらも、これを読みうるようにせよ。この幻はなお定められたときを待ち、終りをさして急いでいる。それは偽りではない。もしおそければ待っておれ。それは必ず臨む。滞りはしない。 [ハバ2:2,3]

愛する者たちよ。この一事を忘れてはならない。主にあっては、一日は千年のようであり、千年は一日のようである。ある人々がおそいと思っているように、主は約束の実行をおそくしておられるのではない。ただ、ひとりも滅びることがなく、すべての者が悔改めに至ることを望み、あなたがたに対してながく忍耐しておられるのである。 ■ 主よ、あなたはあわれみと恵みに富み、怒りをおそくし、いつくしみと、まこととに豊かな神でいらせられます。 ■ どうか、あなたが天を裂いて下る。･･･いにしえからこのかた、あなたのほか神を待ち望む者に、このような事を行われた神を聞いたことはなく、耳に入れたこともなく、目に見たこともない。 [2ペテ3:8,9 | 詩86:15 | イザ64:1,4]

October 5, Evening

Yet a little while, [Gr. how little, how little,] and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. [Heb.10:37]

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it because it will surely come, it will not tarry. [Hab.2:2,3]

Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentence. ■ Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth. ■ Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down.
