命の木。 [創2:9]

神が永遠のいのちをわたしたちに賜わり、かつ、そのいのちが御子のうちにあるということである。 ■ 神はそのひとり子を賜わったほどに、この世を愛して下さった。それは御子を信じる者がひとりも滅びないで、永遠の命を得るためである。 ■ すなわち、父が死人を起して命をお与えになるように、子もまた、そのこころにかなう人々に命を与えるであろう。それは、父がご自分のうちに生命をお持ちになっていると同様に、子にもまた、自分のうちに生命を持つことをお許しになったからである。 [1ヨハ5:11 | ヨハ3:16 | ヨハ5:21,26]

勝利を得る者には、神のパラダイスにあるいのちの木の実を食べることをゆるそう。 ■ （いのちの水の川が）都の大通りの中央を流れている。川の両側にはいのちの木があって、十二種の実を結び、その実は毎月みのり、その木の葉は諸国民をいやす。 [黙2:7 | 黙22:2]

The tree of life. [Gen.2:9]

God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ■ He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ■ As the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. As the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself. [I John.5:11 | John.3:16 | John.5:21,26]

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. ■ In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
