時にアサはその神、主に向かって呼ばわって言った、「主よ、力のある者を助けることも、力のない者を助けることも、あなたにおいては異なることはありません。われわれの神、主よ、われわれをお助けください。われわれはあなたに寄り頼み、あなたの名によってこの大軍に当ります。主よ、あなたはわれわれの神です。どうぞ人をあなたに勝たせないでください」。 ■ ヨシャパテが呼ばわったので、主はこれを助けられた。 [2歴14:11 | 2歴18:31]

主に寄り頼むは人にたよるよりも良い。主に寄り頼むはもろもろの君にたよるよりも良い。 ■ 王はその軍勢の多きによって救を得ない。勇士はその力の大いなるによって助けを得ない。馬は勝利に頼みとならない。その大いなる力も人を助けることはできない。 [詩118:8,9 | 詩33:16,17]

わたしたちの戦いは、血肉に対するものではなく、もろもろの支配と、権威と、やみの世の主権者、また天上にいる悪の霊に対する戦いである。それだから、･･･神の武具を身につけなさい。 [エペ6:12,13]

Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle. [Psa.18:39]

When I am weak, then am I strong. [II Cor.12:10]

Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee. ■ Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. [II Chr.14:11 | II Chr.18:31]

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. ■ There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. [Psa.118:8,9 | Psa.33:16,17]

We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God. [Eph.6:12,13]
