そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えたのであろうか。 [詩77:8]

そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない。 ■ 主は怒ることおそく、いつくしみに富む。 ■ （神は）不義をゆるし、･･･いつくしみを喜ばれるので、その怒りをながく保たず、再びわれわれをあわれみ、われわれの不義を足で踏みつけられる。あなたはわれわれのもろもろの罪を海の深みに投げ入れる。 ■ わたしたちの行った義のわざによってではなく、ただ神のあわれみによって、･･･わたしたちは救われたのである。 [詩136:23 | 民14:18 | ミカ7:18,19 | テト3:5,6]

ほむべきかな、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの父なる神、あわれみ深き父、慰めに満ちたる神。神は、いかなる患難の中にいる時でもわたしたちを慰めて下さり、また、わたしたち自身も、神に慰めていただくその慰めをもって、あらゆる患難の中にある人々を慰めることができるようにして下さるのである。 [2コリ1:3,4]

イエスは、神のみまえにあわれみ深い忠実な大祭司となって、民の罪をあがなうために、あらゆる点において兄弟たちと同じようにならねばならなかった。主ご自身、試錬を受けて苦しまれたからこそ、試錬の中にある者たちを助けることができるのである。 [ヘブ2:17,18]

Is his mercy clean gone for ever? [Psa.77:8]

His mercy endureth for ever. ■ The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy. ■ Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity? ... he reaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sin into the depths of the sea. ■ Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. [II Cor.1:3,4]

A merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. [Heb.2:17,15]
