神のみこころにかなうこと。 [1ヨハ3:22]

信仰がなくては、神に喜ばれることはできない。なぜなら、神に来る者は、神のいますことと、ご自身を求める者に報いて下さることとを、必ず信じるはずだからである。 ■ また、肉にある者は、神を喜ばせることができない。 ■ 主はおのが民を喜び、へりくだる者を勝利をもって飾られるからである。 [ヘブ11:6 | ロマ8:8 | 詩149:4]

もしだれかが、不当な苦しみを受けても、神を仰いでその苦痛を耐え忍ぶなら、それはよみせられることである。悪いことをして打ちたたかれ、それを忍んだとしても、なんの手柄になるのか。しかし善を行って苦しみを受け、しかもそれを耐え忍んでいるとすれば、これこそ神によみせられることである。 ■ かくれた内なる人、柔和で、しとやかな霊という朽ちることのない飾りを、身につけるべきである。これこそ、神のみまえに、きわめて尊いものである。 [1ペテ2:19,20 | 1ペテ3:4]

感謝のいけにえをささげる者はわたしをあがめる。自分のおこないを慎む者にはわたしは神の救を示す」。 ■ わたしは歌をもって神の名をほめたたえ、感謝をもって神をあがめます。これは雄牛または角とひずめのある雄牛にまさって主を喜ばせるでしょう。 [詩50:23 | 詩69:30,31]

兄弟たちよ。神のあわれみによってあなたがたに勧める。あなたがたのからだを、神に喜ばれる、生きた、聖なる供え物としてささげなさい。それが、あなたがたのなすべき霊的な礼拝である。 [ロマ12:1]

March 12, Evening

Things that are pleasing in his sight. [I John.3:22]

Without faith it is impossible to please him. ■ So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. ■ The Lord taketh pleasure in his people. [Heb.11:6 | Rom.8:8 | Psa.149:4]

This is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. If, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. ■ The ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, ... is in the sight of God of great price. [I Pet.2:19,20 | I Pet.3:4]

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. ■ I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. [Psa.50:23 | Psa.69:30,31]

I beseech you, ... brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [Rom.12:1]
