わたしたちの参加すべき競走を、耐え忍んで走りぬこうではないか。信仰の導き手であり、またその完成者であるイエスを仰ぎ見つつ、走ろうではないか。 [ヘブ12:1,2]

しかし、すべて競技をする者は、何ごとにも節制をする。彼らは朽ちる冠を得るためにそうするが、わたしたちは朽ちない冠を得るためにそうするのである。そこで、わたしは目標のはっきりしないような走り方をせず、空を打つような拳闘はしない。すなわち、自分のからだを打ちたたいて服従させるのである。そうしないと、ほかの人に宣べ伝えておきながら、自分は失格者になるかも知れない。 ■ 兄弟たちよ。わたしはすでに捕えたとは思っていない。ただこの一事を努めている。すなわち、後のものを忘れ、前のものに向かってからだを伸ばしつつ、目標を目ざして走り、キリスト・イエスにおいて上に召して下さる神の賞与を得ようと努めているのである。 ■ わたしたちは主を知ろう、せつに主を知ることを求めよう。 [1コリ9:25-27 | ピリ3:13,14 | ホセ6:3]

Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. [Heb.12:1,2]

Every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
