わたしたちは、見えるものにではなく、見えないものに目を注ぐ。見えるものは一時的であり、見えないものは永遠につづくのである。 [2コリ4:18]

この地上には、永遠の都はない。 ■ もっとまさった永遠の宝を持っている。 [ヘブ13:14 | ヘブ10:34]

恐れるな、小さい群れよ。御国を下さることは、あなたがたの父のみこころなのである。 [ルカ12:32]

今しばらくのあいだは、さまざまな試錬で悩まねばならないかも知れない。 ■ かしこでは悪人も、あばれることをやめ、うみ疲れた者も、休みを得、 [1ペテ1:6 | ヨブ3:17]

この幕屋の中にいるわたしたちは、重荷を負って苦しみもだえている。 ■ 神自ら人と共にいまして、人の目から涙を全くぬぐいとって下さる。もはや、死もなく、悲しみも、叫びも、痛みもない。先のものが、すでに過ぎ去ったからである。 [2コリ5:4 | 黙21:3,4]

今のこの時の苦しみは、やがてわたしたちに現されようとする栄光に比べると、言うに足りない。 ■ なぜなら、このしばらくの軽い患難は働いて、永遠の重い栄光を、あふれるばかりにわたしたちに得させるからである。 [ロマ8:18 | 2コリ4:17]

December 27, Morning

We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. [II Cor.4:18]

Here have we no continuing city. ■ Ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. [Heb.13:14 | Heb.10:34]

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. [Luke.12:32]

Now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. ■ There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. [I Pet.1:6 | Job.3:17]

We that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened. ■ God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [II Cor.5:4 | Rev.21:4]

The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. ■ Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. [Rom.8:18 | II Cor.4:17]
