こころの貧しい人たちは、さいわいである、天国は彼らのものである。 [マタ5:3]

悲しんでいる人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは慰められるであろう。柔和な人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは地を受けつぐであろう。義に飢えかわいている人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは飽き足りるようになるであろう。あわれみ深い人たちは、さいわいである、彼らはあわれみを受けるであろう。心の清い人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは神を見るであろう。平和をつくり出す人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは神の子と呼ばれるであろう。義のために迫害されてきた人たちは、さいわいである、天国は彼らのものである。わたしのために人々があなたがたをののしり、また迫害し、あなたがたに対し偽って様々の悪口を言う時には、あなたがたは、さいわいである。喜び、よろこべ、天においてあなたがたの受ける報いは大きい。 [マタ5:4-12]

めぐまれているのは、むしろ、神の言を聞いてそれを守る人たちである。 [ルカ11:28]

いのちの木にあずかる特権を与えられ、また門をとおって都にはいるために、自分の着物を洗う者たちは、さいわいである。 [黙22:14]

October 27, Evening

He whom thou blessest is blessed. [Num.22:6]

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. [Matt.5:3-12]

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven. [Matt.5:4-12]

Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. [Luke.11:28]
