彼は、わたしたちのわずらいを身に受け、わたしたちの病を負うた。 [マタ8:17]

祭司は命じてその清められる者のために、生きている清い小鳥二羽と、香柏の木と、緋の糸と、ヒソプとを取ってこさせ、祭司はまた命じて、その小鳥の一羽を、流れ水を盛った土の器の上で殺させ、そして生きている小鳥を、香柏の木と、緋の糸と、ヒソプと共に取って、これをかの流れ水を盛った土の器の上で殺した小鳥の血に、その生きている小鳥と共に浸し、これをらい病から清められる者に七たび注いで、その人を清い者とし、その生きている小鳥は野に放たなければならない。 [レビ14:4-7]

ある町に･･･全身らい病になっている人がいた。イエスを見ると、顔を地に伏せて願って言った、「主よ、みこころでしたら、きよめていただけるのですが」。 ■ イエスは深くあわれみ、手を伸ばして彼にさわり、「そうしてあげよう、きよくなれ」と言われた。すると、らい病が直ちに去って、その人はきよくなった。 [ルカ5:12 | マル1:41,42]

October 27, Morning

Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. [Matt.8:17]

Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop: and the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water: as for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water: and he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field. Behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. ■ And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
