救主のこられるのを、わたしたちは待ち望んでいる。 [ピリ3:20]

すべての人を救う神の恵みが現れた。そして、わたしたちを導き、不信心とこの世の情欲とを捨てて、慎み深く、正しく、信心深くこの世で生活し、祝福に満ちた望み、すなわち、大いなる神、わたしたちの救主キリスト・イエスの栄光の出現を待ち望むようにと、教えている。このキリストが、わたしたちのためにご自身をささげられたのは、わたしたちをすべての不法からあがない出して、良いわざに熱心な選びの民を、ご自身のものとして聖別するためにほかならない。 ■ わたしたちは、神の約束に従って、義の住む新しい天と新しい地とを待ち望んでいる。愛する者たちよ。それだから、この日を待っているあなたがたは、しみもなくきずもなく、安らかな心で、神のみまえに出られるように励みなさい。 [テト2:11-14 | 2ペテ3:13,14]

キリストもまた、多くの人の罪を負うために、一度だけご自身をささげられた後、彼を待ち望んでいる人々に、罪を負うためではなしに二度目に現れて、救を与えられるのである。 ■ その日、人は言う、「見よ、これはわれわれの神である。わたしたちは彼を待ち望んだ。彼はわたしたちを救われる。これは主である。わたしたちは彼を待ち望んだ。わたしたちはその救を喜び楽しもう」と。 [ヘブ9:28 | イザ25:9]

We look for the Saviour. [Phi.3:20]

The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world, looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ■ We, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. [Tit.2:11-14 | II Pet.3:13,14]

Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. ■ And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
