いつくしみと、まこととは共に会い、義と平和とは互に口づけし、 [詩85:10]

義なる神、救主。 [イザ45:21]

主はおのれの義のために、その教を大いなるものとし、かつ光栄あるものとすることを喜ばれた。 [イザ42:21]

神はキリストにおいて世をご自分に和解させ、その罪過の責任をこれに負わせることをしないで･･･、 ■ 神はこのキリストを立てて、その血による、信仰をもって受くべきあがないの供え物とされた。それは神の義を示すためであった。すなわち、今までに犯された罪を、神は忍耐をもって見のがしておられたが、それは、今の時に、神の義を示すためであった。こうして、神みずからが義となり、さらに、イエスを信じる者を義とされるのである。 ■ 彼はわれわれのとがのために傷つけられ、われわれの不義のために砕かれたのだ。彼はみずから懲らしめをうけて、われわれに平安を与え、その打たれた傷によって、われわれはいやされたのだ。 ■ だれが、神の選ばれた者たちを訴えるのか。神は彼らを義とされるのである。 ■ しかし、働きはなくても、不信心な者を義とするかたを信じる人は、その信仰が義と認められるのである。 [2コリ5:19 | ロマ3:25,26 | イザ53:5 | ロマ8:33 | ロマ4:5]

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. [Psa.85:10]

A just God and a Saviour. [Isa.45:21]

The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. [Isa.42:21]

God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. ■ Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forebearance of God; to declare I say at this time his righteousness: that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. ■ He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. ■ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. ■ To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly; his faith is counted for righteousness.
