言いつくせない賜物のゆえに、神に感謝する。 [2コリ9:15]

神はそのひとり子を世につかわし、彼によってわたしたちを生きるようにして下さった。それによって、わたしたちに対する神の愛が明らかにされたのである。 [1ヨハ4:9]

初子を産み、布にくるんで、飼葉おけの中に寝かせた。客間には彼らのいる余地がなかったからである。さて、この地方で羊飼たちが夜、羊の群れの番をしていた。すると主の御使が現れ、主の栄光が彼らをめぐり照したので、彼らは非常に恐れた。御使は言った、「恐れるな。見よ、すべての民に与えられる大きな喜びを、あなたがたに伝える。きょうダビデの町に、あなたがたのために救主がお生れになった。このかたこそ主なるキリストである。あなたがたは、幼な子が布にくるまって飼葉おけの中に寝かしてあるのを見るであろう。それが、あなたがたに与えられるしるしである」。するとたちまち、おびただしい天の軍勢が現れ、御使と一緒になって神をさんびして言った、「いと高きところでは、神に栄光があるように、地の上では、み心にかなう人々に平和があるように」。 [ルカ2:7-14]

Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift. [2Co9:15]

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. [1Jo4:9]

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger. because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them. and they were sore afraid. And the angel said to them. Fear not. for, look. I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For to you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign to you. you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. [Lu2:7-14]
