この子を与えてくださいと、わたしは祈りましたが、主はわたしの求めた願いを聞きとどけられました。 [1サム1:27]

見よ、子供たちは神から賜わった嗣業であり、胎の実は報いの賜物である。 ■ 小さいわらべに導かれる。 ■ 子をその行くべき道に従って教えよ、そうすれば年老いても、それを離れることがない。 [詩篇127:3 | イザ11:6 | 箴言22:6]

The birth of a child 1

For this child I prayed. and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of him: [1Sa1:27]

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord. and the fruit of the womb is his reward. ■ A little child shall lead them. ■ Train up a child in the way he should go. and when he is old, he will not depart from it. [Ps127:3 | Isa11:6 | Pr22:6]

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment. ■ your children like olive plants round about your table. [Ge18:19 | Ps128:3]

He took a child, and set him in the midst of them. and when he had taken him in his arms, he said to them, Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me. and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me. ■ Jesus aid, Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not. for of such is the kingdom of God. ■ Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones. for I say to you.
