主はあなたの右の手をおおう陰である。 [詩篇121:5]

あなたは知らなかったか、あなたは聞かなかったか。主はとこしえの神、地の果の創造者であって、弱ることなく、また疲れることなく、その知恵ははかりがたい。弱った者には力を与え、勢いのない者には強さを増し加えられる。年若い者も弱り、かつ疲れ、壮年の者も疲れはてて倒れる。しかし主を待ち望む者は新たなる力を得、わしのように翼をはって、のぼることができる。走っても疲れることなく、歩いても弱ることはない。 [イザ40:28-31]

Convalescence 2

The Lord is your shade upon your right hand. [Ps121:5]

has you not known? has you not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint. and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. they shall mount up with wings as eagles. they shall run, and not be weary. and they shall walk, and not faint. [Isa40:28-31]

Your youth is renewed like the eagle's. ■ Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear him. For he knows our frame. he remembers that we are dust. [Ps103:5 | Ps103:13-14]

We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. ■ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [2Co4:7 | 2Co4:17]
