わたしはあなたがたを捨てて孤児とはしない。あなたがたのところに帰って来る。 [ヨハネ14:18]

遠い国から来るよい消息は、かわいている人が飲む冷やかな水のようだ。 ■ 彼らはエジプトから上ってカナンの地に入り、父ヤコブのもとへ行って、彼に言った、「ヨセフはなお生きていてエジプト全国のつかさです」。ヤコブは気が遠くなった。彼らの言うことが信じられなかったからである。そこで彼らはヨセフが語った言葉を残らず彼に告げた。父ヤコブはヨセフが自分を乗せるために送った車を見て元気づいた。そしてイスラエルは言った、「満足だ。わが子ヨセフがまだ生きている。わたしは死ぬ前に行って彼を見よう」。 [箴言25:25 | 創世45:25-28]

わたしはいま信じている、あなたがたの間を歩き回って御国を宣べ伝えたこのわたしの顔を、みんなが今後二度と見ることはあるまい。 [使徒20:25]

こう言って、パウロは一同と共にひざまずいて祈った。みんなの者は、はげしく泣き悲しみ、パウロの首を抱いて、幾度も接吻し、もう二度と自分の顔を見ることはあるまいと彼が言ったので、特に心を痛めた。それから彼を舟まで見送った。 [使徒20:36-38]

I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you. [Joh14:18]

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. ■ And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan to Jacob their father, And told him, saying. Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not. And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them. and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived: And Israel said. It is enough. Joseph my son is yet alive. I will go and see him before I die. [Pr25:25 | Ge45:25-28]

And now, look. I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. [Ac20:25]

And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all. And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him, Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship. [Ac20:36-38]
