眠っている人々。 [1テサ4:13]

わたしたちの友が眠っている。 ■ イエスはラザロが死んだことを言われたのである。 ■ 彼らはステパノに石を投げつけた。彼は眠りについた。 ■ 主はその愛する者に、眠っている時にも、なくてならぬものを与えられるからである。 [ヨハネ11:11 | ヨハネ11:13 | 使徒7:59-60 | 詩篇127:2]

わたしたちの救主キリスト・イエスは死を滅ぼしたのである。 ■ それは、ご自分の死によって、死の恐怖のために一生涯、奴隷となっていた者たちを、解き放つためである。 ■ それは、彼が神の恵みによって、すべての人のために死を味わわれるためであった。 [2テモ1:10 | ヘブル2:14-15 | ヘブル2:9]

死は勝利にのまれてしまった。「死よ、おまえの勝利は、どこにあるのか。死よ、おまえのとげは、どこにあるのか」。死のとげは罪である。罪の力は律法である。しかし感謝すべきことには、神はわたしたちの主イエス・キリストによって、わたしたちに勝利を賜わったのである。だから、愛する兄弟たちよ。堅く立って動かされず、いつも全力を注いで主のわざに励みなさい。主にあっては、あなたがたの労苦がむだになることはないと、あなたがたは知っているからである。 [1コリ15:54-58]

Our friend sleeps. ■ Howbeit Jesus spoke of his death. ■ They stoned Stephen. And he fell asleep. ■ So he gives his beloved sleep. [Joh11:11 | Joh11:13 | Ac7:59-60 | Ps127:2]

our Saviour Jesus Christ has abolished death. ■ That through death, he might deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. ■ ...that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. [2Ti1:10 | Heb2:14-15 | Heb2:9]

Death is swallowed up in victory. Oh death, where is your sting? Oh grave, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin. and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. [1Co15:54-58]
