For sickness 1
Lord, look, he whom you love is sick.
[Joh11:3]
Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows. ■ Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses. ■ He, being full of compassion. ■ Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear him. For he knows our frame.
[Isa53:4 | Mt8:17 | Ps78:38 | Ps103:13-14]
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress? ■ For whom the Lord loves he chastens. ■ Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous. nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to them which are exercised thereby. ■ We know that all things work together for good to them that love God.
[Ro8:35 | Heb12:6 | Heb12:11 | Ro8:28]
And he said to me. My grace is sufficient for you. for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
[2Co12:9]
