あなたがたは今信じているのか。 [ヨハ16:31]

わたしの兄弟たちよ。ある人が自分には信仰があると称していても、もし行いがなかったら、なんの役に立つか。その信仰は彼を救うことができるか。信仰も、それと同様に、行いを伴わなければ、それだけでは死んだものである。 [ヤコ2:14,17]

信仰によって、アブラハムは、試錬を受けたとき、イサクをささげた。すなわち、約束を受けていた彼が、そのひとり子をささげたのである。彼は、神が死人の中から人をよみがえらせる力がある、と信じていたのである。 ■ わたしたちの父祖アブラハムは、その子イサクを祭壇にささげた時、行いによって義とされたのではなかったか。これでわかるように、人が義とされるのは、行いによるのであって、信仰だけによるのではない。 [ヘブ11:17,19 | ヤコ2:21,24]

完全な自由の律法を一心に見つめてたゆまない人は、聞いて忘れてしまう人ではなくて、実際に行う人である。こういう人は、その行いによって祝福される。 [ヤコ1:25]

その実によって彼らを見わけるのである。わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ』と言う者が、みな天国にはいるのではなく、ただ、天にいますわが父の御旨を行う者だけが、はいるのである。 ■ もしこれらのことがわかっていて、それを行うなら、あなたがたはさいわいである。 [マタ7:20,21 | ヨハ13:17]

Do ye now believe? [John.16:31]

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. [Jas.2:14,17]

By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son. Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead. ■ Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. [Heb.11:17-19 | Jas.2:21,24]

Whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. [Jas.1:25]

By their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. ■ If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. [Matt.7:20,21 | John.13:17]
