わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、きょうもお与えください。 [マタ6:11]

わたしは、むかし年若かった時も、年老いた今も、正しい人が捨てられ、あるいはその子孫が食物を請いあるくのを見たことがない。 ■ そのパンは与えられ、その水は絶えることがない。 ■ すると、からすが朝ごとに彼の所にパンと肉を運び、また夕ごとにパンと肉を運んできた。そして彼はその川の水を飲んだ。 [詩37:25 | イザ33:16 | 1列17:6]

わたしの神は、ご自身の栄光の富の中から、あなたがたのいっさいの必要を、キリスト・イエスにあって満たして下さるであろう。 ■ 自分の持っているもので満足しなさい。主は、「わたしは、決してあなたを離れず、あなたを捨てない」と言われた。 [ピリ4:19 | ヘブ13:5]

主はあなたを苦しめ、あなたを飢えさせ、･･･マナをもって、あなたを養われた。人はパンだけでは生きず、人は主の口から出るすべてのことばによって生きることをあなたに知らせるためであった。 ■ そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「よくよく言っておく。天からのパンをあなたがたに与えたのは、モーセではない。天からのまことのパンをあなたがたに与えるのは、わたしの父なのである。神のパンは、天から下ってきて、この世に命を与えるものである」。 [申8:3 | ヨハ6:32,33]

Give us this day our daily bread. [Matt.6:11]

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. ■ His bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. ■ The ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. ■ Be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. [Phi.4:19 | Heb.13:5]

He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, ... that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. ■ Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
