生ける水の源。 [エレ2:13]

神よ、あなたのいつくしみはいかに尊いことでしょう。人の子らはあなたの翼のかげに避け所を得、あなたの家の豊かなのによって飽き足りる。あなたはその楽しみの川の水を彼らに飲ませられる。いのちの泉はあなたのもとにある。 [詩36:7-9]

主なる神はこう言われる、「見よ、わがしもべたちは食べる、しかし、あなたがたは飢える。見よ、わがしもべたちは飲む、しかし、あなたがたはかわく」。 ■ わたしが与える水を飲む者は、いつまでも、かわくことがないばかりか、わたしが与える水は、その人のうちで泉となり、永遠の命に至る水が、わきあがるであろう。 ■ これは、イエスを信じる人々が受けようとしている御霊をさして言われたのである。 [イザ65:13 | ヨハ4:14 | ヨハ7:39]

The fountain of living waters. [Jer.2:13]

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life. [Psa.36:7-9]

Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty. ■ Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. ■ This spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive.
