狭い門からはいれ。滅びにいたる門は大きく、その道は広い。･･･命にいたる門は狭く、その道は細い。そして、それを見いだす者が少ない。 ■ 天国は激しく襲われている。そして激しく襲う者たちがそれを奪い取っている。 ■ 朽ちる食物のためではなく、永遠の命に至る朽ちない食物のために働くがよい。これは人の子があなたがたに与えるものである。 ■ ますます励んで、あなたがたの受けた召しと選びとを、確かなものにしなさい。･･･こうして、わたしたちの主また救主イエス・キリストの永遠の国に入る恵みが、あなたがたに豊かに与えられるからである。 ■ あなたがたも、賞を得るように走りなさい。しかし、すべて競技をする者は、何ごとにも節制をする。彼らは朽ちる冠を得るためにそうするが、わたしたちは朽ちない冠を得るためにそうするのである。 [マタ7:13,14 | マタ11:12 | ヨハ6:27 | 2ペテ1:10,11 | 1コリ9:24,25]

Let us labour to enter into that rest. [Heb.4:11]

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction: ... strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. ■ The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. ■ Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you. ■ Give diligence to make your calling and election sure: ... for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. ■ So run, that ye may obtain.
