祝福に満ちた望み、すなわち、大いなる神、わたしたちの救主キリスト・イエスの栄光の出現。 [テト2:13]

この望みは、わたしたちにとって、いわば、たましいを安全にし不動にする錨であり、かつ「幕の内」にはいり行かせるものである。その幕の内に、イエスは･･･わたしたちのためにさきがけとなって、はいられたのである。 ■ 万物更新の時まで、天にとどめておかれねばならなかった。 ■ その日に、イエスは下ってこられ、聖徒たちの中であがめられ、すべて信じる者たちの間で驚嘆されるであろう。 [ヘブ6:19,20 | 使3:21 | 2テサ1:10]

被造物全体が、今に至るまで、共にうめき共に産みの苦しみを続けている。･･･わたしたち自身も、心の内でうめきながら、子たる身分を授けられること、すなわち、からだのあがなわれることを待ち望んでいる。 ■ 愛する者たちよ。わたしたちは今や神の子である。しかし、わたしたちがどうなるのか、まだ明らかではない。彼が現れる時、わたしたちは、自分たちが彼に似るものとなることを知っている。そのまことの御姿を見るからである。 ■ わたしたちのいのちなるキリストが現れる時には、あなたがたも、キリストと共に栄光のうちに現れるであろう。 [ロマ8:22,23 | 1ヨハ3:2 | コロ3:4]

That blessed hope, ... the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. [Tit.2:13]

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil: whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus. ■ Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things. ■ When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe. The whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, ... groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. ■ Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. ■ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
