神は真実である。 [1コリ10:13]

神は人のように偽ることはなく、また人の子のように悔いることもない。言ったことで、行わないことがあろうか、語ったことで、しとげないことがあろうか。 ■ 主は誓われたが、心を変えることをされなかった。 [民23:19 | ヘブ7:21]

神は、約束のものを受け継ぐ人々に、ご計画の不変であることを、いっそうはっきり示そうと思われ、誓いによって保証されたのである。それは、偽ることのあり得ない神に立てられた二つの不変の事がらによって、前におかれている望みを捕えようとして世をのがれてきたわたしたちが、力強い励ましを受けるためである。 ■ 神の御旨に従って苦しみを受ける人々は、善をおこない、そして、真実であられる創造者に、自分のたましいをゆだねるがよい。 [ヘブ6:17,18 | 1ペテ4:19]

God is faithful. [I Cor.10:13]

God is not a man that he should lie; neither the Son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? ■ The Lord sware and will not repent. [Num.23:19 | Heb.7:21]

God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. ■ Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
