わたしたちの救主キリスト・イエスの栄光の出現を待ち望むようにと、教えている。このキリストが、わたしたちのためにご自身をささげられたのは、わたしたちをすべての不法からあがない出して、良いわざに熱心な選びの民を、ご自身のものとして聖別するためにほかならない。 ■ むしろ、あなたがたを召して下さった聖なるかたにならって、あなたがた自身も、あらゆる行いにおいて聖なる者となりなさい。聖書に、「わたしが聖なる者であるから、あなたがたも聖なる者になるべきである」と書いてあるからである。 [テト2:13,14 | 1ペテ1:15,16]

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercies hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. ■ Saved by his life. [I Pet.1:3 | Rom.5:10]

Our Saviour Jesus Christ ... who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ■ As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy for I am holy. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ... hath blessed us with all spiritul blessings in heavenly places in Christ. ■ In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
