人を生かすものは霊であって、肉はなんの役にも立たない。わたしがあなたがたに話した言葉は霊であり、また命である。 [ヨハ6:63]

キリストが教会を愛してそのためにご自身をささげられたように、妻を愛しなさい。キリストがそうなさったのは、水で洗うことにより、言葉によって、教会をきよめて聖なるものとするためであり、･･･しわも、そのたぐいのものがいっさいなく、清くて傷のない栄光の姿の教会を、ご自分に迎えるためである。 [エペ5:25-27]

若い人はどうしておのが道を清く保つことができるでしょうか。み言葉にしたがって、それを守るよりほかにありません。あなたの約束はわたしを生かす。わたしはあなたにむかって罪を犯すことのないように、心のうちにみ言葉をたくわえました。わたしはあなたの定めを喜び、あなたのみ言葉を忘れません。わたしはあなたのみ言葉に信頼するからです。あなたの口のおきては、わたしのためには幾千の金銀貨幣にもまさるのです。わたしは常にあなたのさとしを忘れません。あなたはこれをもって、わたしを生かされたからです。あなたのみ言葉はいかにわがあごに甘いことでしょう。蜜にまさってわが口に甘いのです。わたしはあなたのさとしによって知恵を得ました。それゆえ、わたしは偽りのすべての道を憎みます。 [詩119:9,50,11,16,42,72,93,103,104]

March 14, Evening

The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. [John.6:63]

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth. ■ The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. [Jas.1:18 | II Cor.3:6]

Christ ... loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing. [Eph.5:25-27]

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Thy word hath quickened me. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. I will not forget thy word. I trust in thy word. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.
