安息日の休みが、神の民のためにまだ残されているのである。 [ヘブ4:9]

かしこでは悪人も、あばれることをやめ、うみ疲れた者も、休みを得、捕われ人も共に安らかにおり、追い使う者の声を聞かない。 [ヨブ3:17,18]

『今から後、主にあって死ぬ死人はさいわいである』･･･彼らはその労苦を解かれて休み、そのわざは彼らについていく。 [黙14:13]

「わたしたちの友ラザロが眠っている･･･」。イエスはラザロが死んだことを言われたのであるが、弟子たちは、眠って休んでいることをさして言われたのだと思った。 [ヨハ11:11,13]

この幕屋の中にいるわたしたちは、重荷を負って苦しみもだえている。 ■ 御霊の最初の実を持っているわたしたち自身も、心の内でうめきながら、子たる身分を授けられること、すなわち、からだのあがなわれることを待ち望んでいる。わたしたちは、この望みによって救われているのである。しかし、目に見える望みは望みではない。もし、わたしたちが見ないことを望むなら、わたしたちは忍耐して、それを待ち望むのである。 [2コリ5:4 | ロマ8:23-25]

March 2, Evening

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. [Heb.4:9]

There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. [Job.3:17,18]

Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; they ... rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. [Rev.14:13]

Our friend Lazarus sleepeth ... Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. [John.11:11,13]

We that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened. ■ Ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope ... But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. [II Cor.5:4 | Rom.8:23-25]
