あなたがたは、求めないから得られないのだ。 ■ 求めよ、そうすれば、与えられるであろう。捜せ、そうすれば、見いだすであろう。門をたたけ、そうすれば、あけてもらえるであろう。すべて求める者は得、捜す者は見いだし、門をたたく者はあけてもらえるからである。 ■ わたしたちが神に対していだいている確信は、こうである。すなわち、わたしたちが何事でも神の御旨に従って願い求めるなら、神はそれを聞きいれて下さるということである。そして、わたしたちが願い求めることは、なんでも聞きいれて下さるとわかれば、神に願い求めたことはすでにかなえられたことを、知るのである。 ■ あなたがたのうち、知恵に不足している者があれば、その人は、とがめもせずに惜しみなくすべての人に与える神に、願い求めるがよい。そうすれば、与えられるであろう。 ■ あなたの口を広くあけよ、わたしはそれを満たそう。 ■ 失望せずに常に祈るべきこと。 [ヤコ4:2 | マタ7:7,8 | 1ヨハ5:14,15 | ヤコ1:5 | 詩81:10 | ルカ18:1]

Ye have not, because ye ask not. ■ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. ■ This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. ■ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. ■ Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. ■ Men ought always to pray, and not to faint. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
