十字架のつまずき。 [ガラ5:11]

だれでもわたしについてきたいと思うなら、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を負うて、わたしに従ってきなさい。 [マタ16:24]

世を友とするのは、神への敵対であることを、知らないか。おおよそ世の友となろうと思う者は、自らを神の敵とするのである。 ■ わたしたちが神の国にはいるのには、多くの苦難を経なければならない。 [ヤコ4:4 | 使14:22]

それにより頼む者は、失望に終ることがない。 ■ この石は、より頼んでいるあなたがたには尊いものであるが、不信仰な人々には「家造りらの捨てた石で、隅のかしら石となったもの」、また「つまずきの石、妨げの岩」である。 [ロマ9:33 | 1ペテ2:7,8]

わたし自身には、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの十字架以外に、誇とするものは、断じてあってはならない。この十字架につけられて、この世はわたしに対して死に、わたしもこの世に対して死んでしまったのである。 ■ わたしはキリストと共に十字架につけられた。 ■ キリスト・イエスに属する者は、自分の肉を、その情と欲と共に十字架につけてしまったのである。 [ガラ6:14 | ガラ2:20 | ガラ5:24]

The offence of the cross. [Gal.5:11]

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. [Matt.16:24]

Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. ■ We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. [Jas.4:4 | Acts.14:22]

Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. ■ Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence. [Rom.9:33 | I Pet.2:7,8]
