神と交わりをしていると言いながら、もし、やみの中を歩いているなら、わたしたちは偽っているのであって、真理を行っているのではない。しかし、神が光の中にいますように、わたしたちも光の中を歩くならば、わたしたちは互に交わりをもち、そして、御子イエスの血が、すべての罪からわたしたちをきよめるのである。 ■ すでにからだを洗った者は、足のほかは洗う必要がない。全身がきれいなのだから。 [1ヨハ1:6,7 | ヨハ13:10]

わたしは知恵の道をあなたに教え、正しい道筋にあなたを導いた。あなたが歩くとき、その歩みは妨げられず、走る時にも、つまずくことはない。よこしまな者の道に、はいってはならない、悪しき者の道を歩んではならない。それを避けよ、通ってはならない、それを離れて進め。あなたの目は、まっすぐに正面を見、あなたのまぶたはあなたの前を、まっすぐに見よ。あなたの足の道に気をつけよ、そうすれば、あなたのすべての道は安全である。右にも左にも迷い出てはならない、あなたの足を悪から離れさせよ。 [箴4:11,12,14,15,25-27]

He will keep the feet of his saints. [I Sam.2:9]

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. ■ He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit. I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
