12月23日夕

神が永遠のいのちをわたしたちに賜わり、かつ、そのいのちが御子のうちにあるということである。 [1ヨハ5:11]

父がご自分のうちに生命をお持ちになっていると同様に、子にもまた、自分のうちに生命を持つことをお許しになったからである。すなわち、父が死人を起して命をお与えになるように、子もまた、そのこころにかなう人々に命を与えるであろう。 [ヨハ5:26,21]

わたしはよみがえりであり、命である。わたしを信じる者は、たとい死んでも生きる。また、生きていて、わたしを信じる者は、いつまでも死なない。 ■ わたしはよい羊飼である。よい羊飼は、羊のために命を捨てる。父は、わたしが自分の命を捨てるから、わたしを愛して下さるのである。命を捨てるのは、それを再び得るためである。だれかが、わたしからそれを取り去るのではない。わたしが、自分からそれを捨てるのである。わたしには、それを捨てる力があり、またそれを受ける力もある。これはわたしの父から授かった定めである」。 ■ だれでもわたしによらないでは、父のみもとに行くことはできない。 ■ 御子を持つ者はいのちを持ち、神の御子を持たない者はいのちを持っていない。 ■ あなたがたはすでに死んだものであって、あなたがたのいのちは、キリストと共に神のうちに隠されているのである。わたしたちのいのちなるキリストが現れる時には、あなたがたも、キリストと共に栄光のうちに現れるであろう。 [ヨハ11:25,26 | ヨハ10:11,17,18 | ヨハ14:6 | 1ヨハ5:12 | コロ3:3,4]

December 23, Evening

God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [I John.5:11]

As the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself. As the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. [John.5:26,21]

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. ■ I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. ■ No man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ■ He that hath the Son, hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life. ■ For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God.
