肉体を宿としている間は主から離れていることを、よく知っている。それで、わたしたちは心強い。そして、むしろ肉体から離れて主と共に住むことが、願わしいと思っている。 ■ わたしの願いを言えば、この世を去ってキリストと共にいることであり、実は、その方がはるかに望ましい。 ■ 兄弟たちよ。眠っている人々については、無知でいてもらいたくない。望みを持たない外の人々のように、あなたがたが悲しむことのないためである。わたしたちが信じているように、イエスが死んで復活されたからには、同様に神はイエスにあって眠っている人々をも、イエスと一緒に導き出して下さるであろう。 [2コリ5:6,8 | ピリ1:23 | 1テサ4:13,14]

The spirit shall return unto God who gave it. [Eccl.12:7]

The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. ■ There is a spirit in man; and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. ■ The first man Adam was made a living soul. ■ The spirit of man that goeth upward. Whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. We are confident, ... and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. ■ With Christ; which is far better. ■ I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
