神は唯一であり、神と人との間の仲保者もただひとりであって、それは人なるキリスト・イエスである。 [1テモ2:5]

イスラエルよ聞け。われわれの神、主は唯一の主である。 ■ 仲介者なるものは、一方だけに属する者ではない。しかし、神はひとりである。 [申6:4 | ガラ3:20]

われらは先祖たちと同じく罪を犯した。われらは不義をなし、悪しきことを行った。われらの先祖たちはエジプトにいたとき、あなたのくすしきみわざに心を留めず、あなたのいつくしみの豊かなのを思わず、紅海で、いと高き神にそむいた。それゆえ、主は彼らを滅ぼそうと言われた。しかし主のお選びになったモーセは破れ口で主のみ前に立ち、み怒りを引きかえして、滅びを免れさせた。 [詩106:6,7,23]

天の召しにあずかっている聖なる兄弟たちよ。あなたがたは、わたしたちが告白する信仰の使者また大祭司なるイエスを、思いみるべきである。彼は、モーセが神の家の全体に対して忠実であったように、自分を立てたかたに対して忠実であられた。 [ヘブ3:1,2]

キリストは、･･･さらにまさった約束に基いて立てられた、さらにまさった契約の仲保者となられた。わたしは、彼らの不義をあわれみ、もはや、彼らの罪を思い出すことはしない。 [ヘブ8:6,12]

November 20, Evening

One God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. [I Tim.2:5]

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord. ■ A mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. [Deut.6:4 | Gal.3:20]

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies ... Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them. [Psa.106:6,7,23]

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. [Heb.3:1-3]

He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [Heb.8:6,12]
