アァメン。 [マタ6:13]

アァメン、神、主もまたそう仰せられますように。 ■ 地にあって誓う者は、真実の神をさして誓う。 [1列1:36 | イザ65:16]

さて、神がアブラハムに対して約束されたとき、さして誓うのに、ご自分よりも上のものがないので、ご自分をさして誓って、いったい、人間は自分より上のものをさして誓うのであり、そして、その誓いはすべての反対論を封じる保証となるのである。そこで、神は、約束のものを受け継ぐ人々に、ご計画の不変であることを、いっそうはっきり示そうと思われ、誓いによって保証されたのである。それは、偽ることのあり得ない神に立てられた二つの不変の事がらによって、前におかれている望みを捕えようとして世をのがれてきたわたしたちが、力強い励ましを受けるためである。 [ヘブ6:13,16-18]

アァメンたる者、忠実な、まことの証人。 ■ なぜなら、神の約束はことごとく、彼において「しかり」となったからである。だから、わたしたちは、彼によって「アァメン」と唱えて、神に栄光を帰するのである。 [黙3:14 | 2コリ1:20]

イスラエルの神、主はほむべきかな。ただ主のみ、くすしきみわざをなされる。その光栄ある名はとこしえにほむべきかな。アァメン、アァメン。 [詩72:18,19]

Amen. [Matt.6:13]

Amen: the Lord God ... say so too. ■ He who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth [Heb. The Amen] and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth [The Amen]. [I Kgs.1:36 | Isa.65:16]

When God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. [Heb.6:13,16-18]

These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness. ■ For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. [Rev.3:14 | II Cor.1:20]

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever. Amen, and Amen. [Psa.72:18,19]
