だれでも誘惑に会う場合、「この誘惑は、神からきたものだ」と言ってはならない。神は悪の誘惑に陥るようなかたではなく、また自ら進んで人を誘惑することもなさらない。人が誘惑に陥るのは、それぞれ、欲に引かれ、さそわれるからである。 ■ 彼らの間から出て行き、彼らと分離せよ、と主は言われる。そして、汚れたものに触れてはならない。触れなければ、わたしはあなたがたを受けいれよう。 [ヤコ1:13,14 | 2コリ6:17]

ロトが目を上げてヨルダンの低地をあまねく見わたすと、･･･主の園のように、すみずみまでよく潤っていた。そこでロトはヨルダンの低地をことごとく選びとって東に移った。ソドムの人々はわるく、主に対して、はなはだしい罪びとであった。 ■ 非道の者どもによってなやまされていた義人ロトだけを救い出された。主は、信心深い者を試錬の中から救い出すべきことを、よくご存じなのである。 ■ 他人の僕をさばくあなたは、いったい、何者であるか。彼が立つのも倒れるのも、その主人によるのである。しかし、彼は立つようになる。主は彼を立たせることができるからである。 [創13:10,11,13 | 2ペテ2:7,9,10 | ロマ14:4]

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [Matt.6:13]

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. [Prov.28:26]

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. ■ Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, ... even as the garden of the Lord.
