わたしを尊ぶ者を、わたしは尊ぶ。 [1サム2:30]

人の前でわたしを受けいれる者を、わたしもまた、天にいますわたしの父の前で受けいれるであろう。 ■ わたしよりも父または母を愛する者は、わたしにふさわしくない。わたしよりもむすこや娘を愛する者は、わたしにふさわしくない。また自分の十字架をとってわたしに従ってこない者はわたしにふさわしくない。自分の命を得ている者はそれを失い、わたしのために自分の命を失っている者は、それを得るであろう。 [マタ10:32 | マタ10:37-39]

試錬を耐え忍ぶ人は、さいわいである。それを忍びとおしたなら、神を愛する者たちに約束されたいのちの冠を受けるであろう。 [ヤコ1:12]

あなたの受けようとする苦しみを恐れてはならない。･･･死に至るまで忠実であれ。そうすれば、いのちの冠を与えよう。 [黙2:10]

なぜなら、このしばらくの軽い患難は働いて、永遠の重い栄光を、あふれるばかりにわたしたちに得させるからである。 ■ イエス・キリストの現れるとき、さんびと栄光とほまれとに変るであろう。 [2コリ4:17 | 1ペテ1:7]

Them that honour me I will honour. [I Sam.2:30]

Whosoever ... shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. ■ He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. [Jas.1:12]

Fear none of these things which thou shalt suffer. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. [Rev.2:10]

Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. ■ Praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. [II Cor.4:17 | I Pet.1:7]
