主は･･･その愛によってあなたを新にする。 [ゼパ3:17]

主があなたがたを愛し、あなたがたを選ばれたのは、あなたがたがどの国民よりも数が多かったからではない。あなたがたはよろずの民のうち、もっとも数の少ないものであった。ただ主があなたがたを愛された。 ■ わたしたちが愛し合うのは、神がまずわたしたちを愛して下さったからである。 ■ しかし今では、御子はその肉のからだにより、その死をとおして、あなたがたを神と和解させ、あなたがたを聖なる、傷のない、責められるところのない者として、みまえに立たせて下さったのである。 [申7:7,8 | 1ヨハ4:19 | コロ1:22]

わたしたちが神を愛したのではなく、神がわたしたちを愛して下さって、わたしたちの罪のためにあがないの供え物として、御子をおつかわしになった。ここに愛がある。 ■ まだ罪人であった時、わたしたちのためにキリストが死んで下さったことによって、神はわたしたちに対する愛を示されたのである。 [1ヨハ4:10 | ロマ5:8]

天から声があって言った、「これはわたしの愛する子、わたしの心にかなう者である」。 ■ 父は、わたしが自分の命を捨てるから、わたしを愛して下さるのである。命を捨てるのは、それを再び得るためである。 ■ 御子は神の栄光の輝きであり、神の本質の真の姿であって、その力ある言葉をもって万物を保っておられる。そして罪のきよめのわざをなし終えてから、いと高き所にいます大能者の右に、座につかれたのである。 [マタ3:17 | ヨハ10:17 | ヘブ1:3]

The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: but because the Lord loved you. ■ We love him, because he first loved us. ■ You ... hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ■ God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [I John.4:10 | Rom.5:8]

Lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. ■ Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. ■ His son ... who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high.
