どこにわたしたちの誇があるのか。全くない。なんの法則によってか。行いの法則によってか。そうではなく、信仰の法則によってである。 ■ あなたの持っているもので、もらっていないものがあるか。もしもらっているなら、なぜもらっていないもののように誇るのか。 ■ あなたがたの救われたのは、実に、恵みにより、信仰によるのである。それは、あなたがた自身から出たものではなく、神の賜物である。決して行いによるのではない。それは、だれも誇ることがないためなのである。わたしたちは神の作品であって、良い行いをするように、キリスト・イエスにあって造られたのである。神は、わたしたちが、良い行いをして日を過ごすようにと、あらかじめ備えて下さったのである。 [ロマ3:27 | 1コリ4:7 | エペ2:8-10]

When ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants. [Luke.17:10]

Where is boasting then? It Is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. ■ What hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? ■ By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
