わたしの罪からわたしを清めてください。 [詩51:2]

わたしは彼らがわたしに向かって犯した罪のすべてのとがを清め、彼らがわたしに向かって犯した罪と反逆のすべてのとがをゆるす。 ■ わたしは清い水をあなたがたに注いで、すべての汚れから清める。 [エレ33:8 | エゼ36:25]

よくよくあなたに言っておく。だれでも、水と霊とから生れなければ、神の国にはいることはできない。 ■ もし、やぎや雄牛の血や雌牛の灰が、汚れた人たちの上にまきかけられて、肉体をきよめ聖別するとすれば、永遠の聖霊によって、ご自身を傷なき者として神にささげられたキリストの血は、なおさら、わたしたちの良心をきよめて死んだわざを取り除き、生ける神に仕える者としないであろうか。 [ヨハ3:5 | ヘブ9:13,14]

May 19, Morning

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity. [Psa.51:2]

I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me. ■ Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ■ If the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
